The season has changed and we welcome everyone to fall! Our class is enjoying talking and singing about the changes all around us. We have taken many nature walks around our school fields to see first hand how the leaves have changed colours. Talk to your child about these wonderful changes in nature, and encourage them to describe them to you in french! Here are a few words we have learned:
Les feuilles tombent.......the leaves fall.
C'est l'automne..........it's fall!
L'arbre.....a tree
Rouge, brun, orange, jaune.........red, brown, orange, yellow.
Pommes.........apples.
Petit, moyen, grand.......small, medium and big!
We are excited to go on our first field trip Thursday. If you are joining us, you can meet us at school that morning. Bring your camera!!
Allergies!!!
Parents, I need to remind you of the existing allergies we have in our class. We are a nut-free room as a few students can develop a severe reaction to them. Also, we have a milk and milk product allergy with one of my students. This too is very serious, and can lead to severe reactions as well. I am asking you to be mindful of our students and these allergies. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Clothing
With the change of seasons comes the change in weather as well. If you would like to exchange the extra clothing for something a little warmer, indicate that in your communication book and I will assist you in that! Also, just a reminder to bring proper gym shoes with your child as we do have gym classes. Please avoid loosely fit sandals as this may cause injury to your child!
